Key Responsibilities:
Assist electricians in installing wiring, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Carry and set up materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical work.
Help with the assembly, installation, and testing of electrical panels, outlets, and switches.
Perform basic tasks like drilling holes, pulling wire, and mounting electrical boxes.
Follow directions to assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including switches, circuits, and outlets.
Maintain and organize tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Clean work areas and ensure all safety measures are followed during electrical projects.
Prepare materials needed for upcoming electrical installations or repairs.
Learn and adhere to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum educational qualification: 10th pass or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems or previous experience in construction or electrical work is a plus.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions from skilled electricians.
Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and wire strippers.
Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in confined or high spaces.
Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
Ability to work as part of a team, with good communication and time-management skills.
Work Environment:
May work indoors or outdoors, often in unfinished buildings, tight spaces, or at heights.
Involves physical labor such as standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects.
Exposure to potential electrical hazards; must follow safety protocols and wear protective gear.
Full-time schedule with the possibility of overtime, weekend, or evening work depending on the project.
