Electrician Helper

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist electricians in installing wiring, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Carry and set up materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical work.
  • Help with the assembly, installation, and testing of electrical panels, outlets, and switches.
  • Perform basic tasks like drilling holes, pulling wire, and mounting electrical boxes.
  • Follow directions to assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including switches, circuits, and outlets.
  • Maintain and organize tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Clean work areas and ensure all safety measures are followed during electrical projects.
  • Prepare materials needed for upcoming electrical installations or repairs.
  • Learn and adhere to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum educational qualification: 10th pass or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems or previous experience in construction or electrical work is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from skilled electricians.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, drills, and wire strippers.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in confined or high spaces.
  • Strong attention to safety and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with good communication and time-management skills.

Work Environment:

  • May work indoors or outdoors, often in unfinished buildings, tight spaces, or at heights.
  • Involves physical labor such as standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Exposure to potential electrical hazards; must follow safety protocols and wear protective gear.
  • Full-time schedule with the possibility of overtime, weekend, or evening work depending on the project.
