Plumber Helper

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems.
  • Carry tools, equipment, and materials to job sites, ensuring everything needed is available and organized.
  • Help with cutting, measuring, and fitting pipes, using hand and power tools as directed.
  • Assist in installing water heaters, faucets, sinks, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Clean and prepare work areas before and after plumbing jobs.
  • Help troubleshoot and fix minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, or faulty fixtures.
  • Support in assembling, installing, and sealing pipes and fittings.
  • Follow all safety regulations, ensuring a safe and clean workspace.
  • Perform basic tasks such as drilling holes, tightening connections, and testing water systems for leaks.
  • Learn and follow local plumbing codes and guidelines during all tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum educational qualification: 10th pass or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing systems or previous experience in construction or plumbing work is a plus.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, work in tight spaces, and perform manual tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions from skilled plumbers.
  • Willingness to learn on the job and follow safety protocols.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • The job may require working indoors and outdoors, in residential, commercial, or construction sites.
  • The position often involves working in confined spaces such as under sinks or in basements.
  • May require standing for long periods, bending, climbing, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Full-time work schedule with possible overtime, weekend, or evening shifts depending on project requirements.
